Prerow`s romantic beaches are wild and wonderfully unaffected.
The old seafaring and fishing village Prerow is in the north of the peninsula Darß that was separated in Darß and Zingst until 1872 by the close river Prerowstrom. The place impresses with its old captain houses that are often thatched and with the typical colourful doors that have been carved by the sailors themselves. Meanwhile Prerow with its stone free sandy beaches entices calm seeking vacationers all year round to the Baltic coast. The sheltered bay of Prerow is especially popular for families with children.
Your house is located on the western edge of the village in a very short distance to the famous beach Darßer Weststrand. Virtually untouched by human hands this wildly romantic coastline is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, particularly popular with nature lovers and artists. To reach the west beach, you cross the national park, which starts close to your vacation home. As a hiker, biker or equestrian you experience the primal nature of the forest with its flora and fauna up close. You can find domestic animals such as red deer and wild boars, squirrels and many rare bird species.
